You’ll Never Pull These Out of The Freezer Again!
Kids and adults alike, both love this cheesy, crispy appetizer, but rarely does anyone ever prepare them at home. Now, this easy recipe can show you how to in minutes.
Unlike the store brand, these cheese sticks are actually baked, with a lighter crust, so they’re healthier AND tastier than those in the box you’re pulling from the freezer. The lumpia rolls also offer a crisper and flakier crust, which always equals extra yum! When my friend told me about these lumpia cheese sticks, I had no idea what she was talking about. Maybe I’ve been living under a rock but I didn’t know what lumpia was!
She made sure I would get it right away, so that I could make these wonderful appetizers. I added some sliced jalapenos because I knew my husband loves it – and these turned out a great hit! I swear he would have eaten only these for dinner! And who am I to judge, if you’d like to do the same thing.

Where do you find lumpia wrappers ? I have never heard of them.
Any oriental / Asian grocery shop. It’s simply an egg roll wrapper.
There’s a distinct difference between a lumpia wrapper and an egg roll wrapper. Yes, they both fry crispy but the egg roll wrapper is thicker.
Why do we have to scroll through 3 pages of junk to get to a 2 item recipe? The comments before the actual recipe are not necessary, we are going to make up our own minds when we see the ingredients and effort required and I think we can figure out how and with what to serve….if we decide we want to try it.
Sue, you have to click on the big red NEXT PAGE on the bottom of the first page and there you have it, the ingredients are there on the second page. There is no scrolling through 3 or 4 pages of junk, as you put it. The comments on the first and second pages equal out to about 150 words each so it’s about a half of scroll before you see the ingredients and instructions. Our apologies if this is too much physical labor on your fingers. Have a glorious day!
So you don’t have to pay for recipes!
I don’t mind the 2-page format at all, now that I’m used to it -and I get lots of good ideas from you. I do wish, however, that you would fix your logo. I cringe every time I see “Delicoius Recipes.” ???
Hi, Nancy! Glad you are enjoying our site. Our logo isn’t a typo although I can see how you may think that it is. It’s intentionally spelled that way 🙂
Okay. I’m for this. What kind of cheese is being used? Quick melting strip? I’m game with the other ingredients, as well. The v jalapenos and ham sound delish!
In Japan we had something very similar. It’s called a cheese roll. It isn’t stringy like a mozzarella cheese but it is white. I wish I knew what kind of cheese to use for those because they were amazing!
Better watch it or the only appetizer at a party will be these
