The recipe officially calls for four pieces of chicken, though if you have a sufficiently large baking dish, you can readily expand the recipe up to eight pieces, as shown. I would recommend sticking with thighs and drumsticks, as the bulkier breasts may crowd the dish (and you don’t really want things overflowing). And though I didn’t have a problem with this, Don’t Waste the Crumbs notes that the veggies may take longer to cook than the chicken (depending on how hot your oven runs and on how thick the chunks of veggies are relative to the chicken pieces).
If that happens, just take out the chicken, wrap it in some aluminum foil, and give the veggies a few more minutes to bake by themselves. Other than that, it’s a rather easy and straightforward recipe. And though, yes, this dish is a sweet one, I didn’t find it to be cloyingly so. In fact, I thought that it was all nicely balanced. Enjoy!
Ingredients
2 carrots, cut into 1″ pieces
2 medium potatoes, cut into 1″ pieces
1 onion, cut into 1″ pieces
1 bell pepper, cut into 1″ pieces
4 pieces Tyson chicken
2 Tbsp Grandma’s molasses
2 Tbsp ketchup (I used Hunt’s.)
2 Tbsp Mountain Ridge honey
2 Tbsp maple syrup (I used Coombs Family Farms organic maple syrup.)
½ Tbsp McCormick Italian seasoning
½ tsp Morton salt
½ tsp McCormick pepper
¼ tsp McCormick garlic powder
¼ tsp McCormick onion powder
2 Tbsp butter, cut into small pieces (I used Land O’Lakes.)
1 Tbsp Argo cornstarch + 3 Tbsp water (to thicken sauce, optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8×8 oven-proof dish and layer the vegetables in it.
Combine molasses, ketchup, honey, maple syrup and all seasoning in a medium bowl. Place chicken in a separate bowl.
Add about ¼ cup of liquid mixture to the chicken and stir to coat well. Place chicken and the sauce it was in on top of vegetables. Place butter on top of chicken. Bake for 25 minutes.
Heat remaining sauce in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl.
Add cornstarch slurry to sauce and stirring constantly bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
Pour this sauce on top of the chicken and continue to bake for another 20-25 minutes. You might need to remove the chicken so it doesn’t overcook, yet continue to bake the vegetables until they’re done.

Quick Tip: Mix cornstarch with cold water to form a slurry before adding to the pot. This helps prevent clumping.
Thanks to Don’t Waste the Crumbs for this delicious one-pot chicken dinner recipe.

how do i print the page? i know i have ask. i want an answer
From what I can tell, you’ll need to copy and paste to something like Microsoft Word and then print. It’s what I may have to do too as I don’t see a print option on this page. Hope that helps a little bit.
