This Cake Really Is a Dream!

This Vanilla Dream Cake is sure to be a winner at any gathering. A little assembly is required, but with prep, baking, and assembly time all adding up to about an hour and a half, it’s not super-complicated and not any all-day labor of love.

I love a good chocolate-based dessert now and then, but I must confess that I love a rich vanilla flavor as much as I love chocolate. I don’t know if that puts me in a minority or if I am just not that picky about what flavors that I will try, but I don’t believe that a vanilla-based recipe has to be boring. Done right, vanilla actually can be rather exciting. This vanilla dream cake really lives up to its name!

My husband is not a fan of cakes (I know, there’s something profoundly wrong with him…) but this cake here is an exception. I swear he could eat half of it in one go – and the other half a couple of hours later! This is definitely a cake that will please even the pickiest of cake eaters!
