Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, beef, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, cheddar, cheese, Cheesy, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, dinner, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, entree, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, ground beef, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Meat Lover's Pie, meat pie, meaty, Mexican, Mexican cuisine, Mexican food, Mexican-American, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, pie, Pompeian, Pompeian olive oil, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, savory, slow cooker, tamale, tamale pie, tamales, Tex-Mex, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

Now THAT’S a Meat-Lover’s Pie–MMM!

This Tamale Pie is full of hearty flavor! Beef, cheese, a Mexican spice blend, and a cornbread base – what’s not to love? I don’t always bake meat pies, but when I do, I like them to be filling and have a bit of flair. This recipe certainly fits THAT bill – wow! I’m not sure I would have thought of using a cornbread base on my own, but it works really well here. It’s all your favorite Mexican-style food items, in pie form, with a nice Southern twist to pull it all together. I can definitely get behind that!

You can have this ready in a little over an hour, hour and a half at the most… not bad for something that makes so much and is so filling, I’d say!  I suppose, for a really artisan piece, you would want to make your own enchilada sauce, though with that sweet cornbread base and that cheesy-savory filling, I am not sure how much you gain from that.  The usual Mexican-style sides (refried beans, black beans, Mexican rice) go well with this pie.

How can you make it any easier than this?  With this One-Pot Honey Garlic Chicken and Veggies recipe for your slow cooker, you have about the most hassle-free family meal imaginable! Hey, I love my elaborate meals, but we just don’t have the time and energy for them all the time, do we?  This sweet and savory flavor combination is sure to be enjoyed by people of all ages and tastes, and you won’t even have to spend any time fussing over a stove!

Those crushed red pepper flakes bring a little bit of heat to this dish. And my, oh my do the vegetables taste great when they’ve spent a few hours in the loving care of the slow cooker! There really is no need for a side dish – however, fresh bread would go so well with this (and people are going to want to use it to scrape every last drop of these delicious flavors on their plate!)

I’m bringing another cheese-rich casserole to your kitchen today.  And believe it or not, this Cauliflower and Pepper Casserole is savory, low-fat, AND healthy!  Use it as a central part of a vegetarian meal or as a fancy side for something more meat-centric. Not bad for a half-hour wonder!

Cauliflower really is a sorely underused vegetable.  I really like how it complements the other veggies here, and of course all of that yummy cheese ties them all together nicely. You can make this dish even healthier by adding more of your favorite veggies. Or if you have someone in your family (like my husband), you could always add some ground beef to this casserole to make it more filling. It’s delicious any way you make it, and after the first bite they’ll want you to make this every week!

Boy, steaks are really out-of-this-world awesome, done this way!  This Marinated Steak With Bourbon Cream Mushroom Sauce combines two great recipes to produce a dish that is undeniably restaurant-grade gourmet.  And once you have given the marinade some time to work its magic, it doesn’t take very long to cook.

I love a good steak now and then (who doesn’t?), love my creamy sauces, and occasionally like a nip of that brown liquor called bourbon (it is awesome in mint juleps, by the way).  This deliciousness combined all three, and it had been a while since I had any juicy beef, so how could I possibly resist?  I have to say, I was already expecting something good and got something even better…so much YUM! It won’t be long ’til I make these again for my family!
