Blueberries were my favorite fruit as a child. My mom used to put them in a bowl, sprinkle some sugar and then pour some milk over the top. And then I would smash all the blueberries with my spoon until the milk turned beautifully purple. That was my favorite treat!
Now that I am older, I love this mug cake recipe. It’s so quick and easy, maybe not as fast as milk and sugar over these little fruits but it cooks up fast in the microwave and satisfies my sweet cravings for sure.
I have actually even made these when I’ve had unexpected guests. You know that panic when someone’s at your door and you have absolutely nothing to serve with a cup of coffee? Not a problem anymore! And if you happen to have a little bit of vanilla ice cream in the freezer, it goes perfectly with these!
