Cornbread comes to Taco Tuesday, in this truly inspired dish!
I always like to experiment with new flavors, and this knocked the socks off my family, let me tell you!
These are even more amazing with a dollop of guacamole and sour cream, if that’s your thing.
After all, ya gotta do-it-up! You only live once!
If spicy is too much for you, then you can lay off the jalapenos and chilies.
I can hardly wait to make this again, and experiment with the flavors.
You can truly mess around with this one, and in my opinion, these waffles are good anytime of the day!
This recipe takes about 30 minutes to make and serves up to 4 people, and it’s as easy as pie!
The wonderful thing about this recipe is that you don’t have to add a Spanish flare. It can be virtually anything.
The cornbread waffles are great even by themselves!
Our friends at 12Tomatoes had this to say about this recipe:
“There aren’t many things we like more than fresh, warm cornbread. And believe it or not, cooking up that golden, delicious dough is faster and easier in a waffle iron! These savory treasures are a fun twist on classically sweet waffles, and we had a ton of fun using our waffle iron for something other than breakfast. We added jalapeños to ours for a little extra kick, but you can easily omit them to make this dish more kid-friendly. Top them with chili, cheese, and sour cream, and you’ve got a fun and festive meal filled with Southwest flavors!”
