I’m Making This Delicious Pie Right This Second!
Growing up in the southern states, we were lucky enough to have all kinds of fruit trees on our property. At any given time in the summer, I could pretty much just walk outside for a few minutes and find a snack. Mom’s favorite tree was the peach, so we had several of those growing around the yard. I wasn’t fond of eating the fruit plain, but Mom could do some pretty amazing stuff with it. She would make jams and jellies, cobblers, and pies. It seemed like when those were in season, the oven was always going. Walking in after a long day of school to that smell just made any day better. Even if I wasn’t having a bad day to begin with, I would feel a whole lot happier.
One of my most favorite desserts that she made was a peach and sour cream pie. Oh man. So rich, creamy, and delicious. I could have eaten that whole thing myself I think if she would have let me. Of course she never did.
Her recipe was a lot like this one from All Recipes. I don’t have any peach trees in my yard now, but when I find good ones at the supermarket, I am making this pie without a doubt!

Quick Tip: Try with light sour cream and Splenda for “healthier” version.
