When I was a child my family would spend the summer camping. We did this almost every year and it was something I passionately looked forward to. Mom would pack the cooler full of drinks and snacks for my siblings and me to enjoy. She’d have to replenish this stock at least once a week because us kiddos would go through it pretty fast. I think we would make campground friends with other kids and share or treats. This frustrated mom but she often let it slide because she was happy that her kids knew how to share 🙂
One of the things mom would make to go along with our “camping food” was pasta salad. We’d quite often eat a big bowl of pasta salad with our hot dogs and hamburgers. My dad really enjoyed this as he was and is a pasta salad buff.
