There is is the wonderful buffet-style restaurant in town that I absolutely love. Normally, I stay away from buffets but I make an exception for this particular one because of one simple item that they always have set out…French onion soup. Wow! is it ever good! I figured, I really need to make this soup myself so that I can save some money and trips to the buffet. I don’t need to be going up any pant sizes, either. You are really going to like this easy recipe!
One of the things that I like the most about this soup is the cheese on top. Yum! It’s so stringy and delicious. The cheese complements the onion soup well. Doesn’t cheese complement everything well?
Now, I wish I could say that I got my children to eat this soup but I can’t. They are turned off by onions, however, I will say that my youngest at least tried it. Bless his little onion-hating heart 🙂
