My husband and I love curling up on the couch in the living room during cold winter nights with a bowl of chowder each cupped between our hands. We each have a specialty chowder. I make really good corn chowder, while he makes the creamiest and tastiest clam chowder ever! We usually have a bit of time for ourselves when the kids are out like a light, and we usually spend them watching our favorite movies or playing video games.
He purchased this new but truly old model of a family computer just so we can play the classic Super Mario Bros and Load Runner. Both he and I are still kids at heart, with us still being a young couple, and we allow ourselves to regress back to our inner child for a few hours after the kids finally fell asleep.
This clam chowder recipe came as a surprise. My husband was just wondering what we can do with the usual clam chowder because he wanted something heavier that night. So what he did was, he made a clam chowder and added pasta on it before baking it in the oven. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it really tasted great! We had it with a bit of a salad on the side and crusty bread.
