The other day, my husband and I were sitting on our front porch swing and discussing how we love visiting Chinese buffets but we don’t like the calories and preservatives associated with them. You see, we are trying to incorporate more healthy choices into our lives and going out to eat needs to be nixed. We both love to go out to eat, especially for Chinese food, and we need to stop this so that we fit into our summer wardrobes LOL I asked my husband what he thought I could make here at the house that would meet our Asian taste bud needs.
The mister told me that he had once had a delightful salad that contained an Asian sauce, carrots, and raisins. There were a few other ingredients stashed in the salad, too but he couldn’t remember what they were.
So, like any good wife I sought out the recipe that he was detailing and decided to make it for him. aren’t I just a peach? LOL I hope you all enjoy this crunchy Asian salad. It’s sweet and savory and totally kicks the Chinese food cravings in the pants.
