My husband has to travel a lot for his job.
I always miss him so much when he’s gone, but I understand it’s part of the job. Usually, on his travels, he gets to try all different kinds of foods. He never goes to the same places twice, and he never gets something that he could eat at home. Then, he calls me from his hotel room and reports back on what he’s been able to sample. Some of it turns out nicely and other things he doesn’t really care for. He’s always honest, at least to me.
When he got to try some Cajun cake for dessert when it was down in New Orleans, he didn’t even wait to get back to the hotel to call me. He told me all about it while sitting right in the restaurant. “You have to figure out how to make this!” That’s all he kept saying.
I took to the internet and found this recipe on Facebook and made it for him before he came home. He was so shocked to see it, and even more pleased with the flavor. I thought it was super tasty too!
