This Gravy Takes Me Back To Grandma’s House Every Time I Make It
Is there a more comforting dish in this world than sausage gravy? I do not think so! Sausage gravy with homemade biscuits has been my favorite ever since I was just a little girl. I remember sitting in my grandmother’s kitchen, all those wonderful aromas lingering all over the house, waiting for the meal to be ready. Grandma was always singing one of her songs and it feels like I can almost hear her, as I’m writing this.
When it comes to comfort food, I know we all have our favorite recipes and they are hard to beat, aren’t they? You could bring all kinds of gourmet meals right in front of me but I would still go for this sausage gravy! It’s incredibly easy to make and the only issue is that you’re not going to have any leftovers… Trust me – you’d like some!
Sometimes I like to use a little bit of half and half for part of the milk, to get a wonderfully rich gravy. But no need to fret if you don’t have any – this recipe never fails so you can most definitely go with all milk!

Really? Southern recipe? I grew up in the snow and this is the same way we made sausage gravy. Now I’ve lived in the south for 22 years and have yet to see ANYONE make sausage gravy without A store bought MIX PACKAGE!
