Everyone at the potluck complimented me on my recipe. Of course I had to tell them that I found it online. I even shared it with a few people. I’m glad that I snuck that one pinwheel before I left the house, because these were gone by the time I got to the plate, they were all gone. I guess I could have double the recipe and not have worried about having too many leftovers. I’m sure I could have pawned a few off for people to take home without much of a problem. I just might break my own rule and make these again!
Don’t let any of these ingredients scare you away… together they make a beautiful combination!
Ingredients
2 can(s) Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pkg Philadelphia cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
2 apples, any type, pitted and chopped
1/2 bunch chives
1 1/4 tsp cumin
1 tsp Morton salt
3 dash(es) pepper
1/2 c cashews, salted
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Chop cashews.
Mix all ingredients except crescent roll dough.
Unroll the dough and cut into quarters, pinching seams together.
Cover with “spread” until there is just about 1/4-1/2 inch left at end of dough. Roll up and pinch seam.
Cut into 6 slices using a serrated knife.
Place on baking sheet and bake for 15 mins, or until golden brown.
