Whenever my husband and I would go out to eat when we first started dating, he would always want to get the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. Now, I don’t mind cheese sticks, but once in a while I want to try something else. Something I learned very early on is that my husband doesn’t really enjoy trying new things. He likes what he likes and he sticks with what he knows. After a few months of dating, I kind of asked him what was up with that. He said that he didn’t want to go out to dinner and pay for something that he ended up not liking. I guess that’s logical. Not very exciting, but logical.
After we got married, I started just getting my own appetizers. I was tired of cheese sticks. I tried just about anything and everything. I am not nearly as picky as what he is. Anyways, at one restaurant I found these wonton wrapped cheese sticks, and they were incredible!
I liked them so much, and my husband actually did too, that I went home and looked up the recipe on NeighborFood. I started making these at home for our family game night… and even the kids gobble them right up!
