My husband and I have made this so many times, we are known for this recipe. We have all the ingredients on hand all the time, and all of our guests ask us to whip up a batch for them to enjoy when they come over. Our grandkids are also thrilled with this drink. They love that it is thick and frothy llike a Starbucks drink and their parents love that it is so much cheaper than that. Hahaha. But anyway, this is such a great summer refresher and the ingredients are so simple, you can practically always have them on hand.
Check out what our friends over at Mama Shire had to say about this:
“I have no idea how close it is to the original, but I think it’s yummy, creamy and refreshing! I love using metal straws with my drinks it makes the drinks extra special!”
Yep, metal straws make everything so much better! And let me tell you, this one might be even better than Chick fil A’s!
½ cup lemon juice or juice of 2 lemons
⅔ cup unsweetened Silk almond milk
1 teaspoon sugar (or more depending on how sweet you like yours)
2 pinches salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups ice cubes (around one full ice tray)
Place all ingredients except ice in blender. Blend until combined then add ice and blend on low until everything is completely blended.

Quick Tip: Serve with a mint leaf for some extra refreshment.
Thanks again to Mama Shire for this amazing recipe.
