So basically, you put the chicken in a baking dish sprayed down with Pam or something similar, mix everything else other than 1/4 cup of the parmesan together, spread that over the chicken, put the remaining cheese on top of that, and bake in an oven at 375 F (preheated) for 30-35 minutes.
There will be some excess moisture after you’re done, but no worries; the chicken still should have a nice, medium brown crust on it, and once you drain off the fluid (just use a slotted spoon to keep everything in the dish while you’re draining it), you’ll be good to go. This goes wonderfully well served over pasta or rice. For sides, something like corn and a simple garden salad goes nicely with it. Enjoy!
See what the Cookin’ Chicks have to say about this delish recipe:
“I served this over spaghetti noodles last week and the entire family was ranting and raving over how yummy this was. The cooking time was less due to the chicken being cut up, the flavor was amazing, and the chicken was incredibly moist. The leftovers the next day were just as good, making this a meal I will definitely make again!!”

would like to have information on how to get more SS
What is ss? Seasoning? Sauce? Soaghetti?
Seasoning Salt
You can get seasoning salt in any grocery store. It normally is mainly salt with a mixture of other seasonings/spices. It is very high in sodium.
This looks delicious.. cant wait to try it..
I made this last week and it is really tasty! And she is right, it makes a great leftover as well! Super easy and fast, I used already cooked rotisserie chicken and prefer the mayo over yogurt. Really flavorful!
CANNOT wait to try this dish!!!!
Do you use pre-cooked chicken or raw? Not sure what the Tyson chicken is…try as best I can to use less processed foods.
The chicken is raw. Tyson is just a brand name. Any chicken will work.
that’s the question I was going to ask, because the recipe doesn’t state whether you cook the chicken. Glad someone has already answered the question. 🙂
It’s just the name of the brand of chicken the person used in the recipe. Just like they said Kraft Mayo…it’s just the name of the brand. You can use any chicken you like.
do you cover this dish to bake or leave uncovered
It looks like you leave it uncovered, because there will be juice from the raw chicken, and if covered, there would be too much moisture. the photo shows the casserole as very browned, which wouldn’t happen if covered. I’m guessing you cook it uncovered. They weren’t very specific with the instructions, unfortunately.
It doesn’t say to cover. SO, I would leave it uncovered.
I WOULD cover because it’s raw chicken that’s used in there. OTOH, I would saute the chicken to get it nice and browned (brown is flavor!), let cool and add to casserole. Looks yummy very browned, IMO. Keep ’em coming! Thanks.
This is absolutely WONDERFUL! I only had four chicken breasts, but that worked out okay. The result was very flavorful. This recipe gets filed in the favorites! Thank you!
I tried this and didn’t like it. I used mayo, maybe yogurt or sour cream would be better.
I’ve made something similar, but used heavy cream, parmesan, and seasonings. It was amazing!
I have made a similar recipe. Yes, the chicken is raw, and you don’t have to cover the dish while cooking. The recipe I used includes uses a tall can of drained artichoke hearts. It makes a lot of food and doesn’t even need to be served with a starch.
Are these whole or half chicken breasts?
It says diced!
This is one of those perfect casseroles to use add ins, broccoli, green beans, left over noodles like elbows, penne and so on, mushrooms, asparagus and anything else.
